Ways You Can Calculate Your GPA,CGPA In University, Polytechnic and College Of Education In Nigeria
Carry Over: When one fails a course, it leads to carry over. It mean student will have to sit for that course in the following session. In most schools when you fail a course, it will affect your GPA for that semester. When you sit for the course in the following session, it will add to your workload.
Missing Script: a missing script is a situation whereby your exam script for a particular subject was not found. It is expected that you sit for the course again. In some school such result is considered as a fresh exam and it will not have a direct effect on the semester. But some school will take it as carry over. However make sure you don’t have a carry over or a missing script because it will slow you pace in academics acceleration.
Letter Grades: They are alphabet from A to F representing grade obtained in a particular subject.

Pictures Of The Missing Chibok Girls
The haunting faces of Nigerian schoolgirl hostages the world has forgotten(Pics)
By GORDON BROWN UNITED NATIONS SPECIAL ENVOY FOR GLOBAL EDUCATION
These are the names and faces of some of the more than 200 Nigerian girls who were abducted from their school dormitories eight weeks ago.
Each girl has a story, a future they had planned, a family anxiously waiting for them at home.
I was shown these pictures after visiting Nigeria this week. I met the leader of the community council in Chibok, the town from which the girls were abducted.
Slowly and with tears in his eyes, he flicked through a file in which he had recorded the names and photographs of the girls

66 Facts You May Not Have Known About The English Language
The English language is, quite literally, the greatest language in the world. Great in terms of size - the current edition of the Oxford English Dictionary contains 615,000 entries. Great in terms of scope -- it's an official language in seventy-nine countries and territories. And great in terms of, well, greatness -- it's just one fantastic mishmash of borrowings, inventions, corruptions, misinterpretations, misspellings, alterations, words you'll never need, and words you never even knew you'll never need.
Since December 2013, @HaggardHawks has been trying to prove precisely this by tweeting odd words, word origins and language facts everyday. 1,300
tweets later, it turns six months old this week and so to celebrate, here are 66 random facts from our first semester that hopefully go some way towards showing how great -- and how downright bizarre -- the English language can be.
1. In the 17th century, magpies were nicknamed pie-maggots.
2. The part of a wall between two windows is called the interfenestration.

Although details on the attack and the number of casualties are stll sketchy, but sources said, “the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) where detonated by suspected Boko Haram terrorists when invading the city at about 11pm on Friday, but they were however repelled by security operatives which led to the exchange of gunfire.”

Superstitions That Are Still Believed In This Modern Age In Nigeria
There are many superstitions which are believed in various places in the
world. Although in this modern age most of them have been discarded,
some places still believe these superstitions as real. I've taken some
time to compile a long of them. Some of them are quite funny and
ridiculous, but I must warn that some of them can actually raise the
hairs at the back of your neck. So enjoy:
1. If you tell a bad dream before breakfast it will
come true.
2. If you hear an owl or a dog howling in the middle of the night, it is a sign of a death in the community.

10 Traditions Of Igbo,Practiced By Families During The Olden Days
This work was an extract from a work compiled by Godwin C. Nwaogwugwu. Director/Founder Imoonline Youth Program, Owerri, Nigeria (A grantee of the United States Embassy Abuja, Nigeria)
1. Young ladies were decorated with dye called ‘Uli’ and ‘Uhie’ (both were from trees) beautiful body painting /art similar to what we call ‘Tatoos today to attract attention and suitors.
2. A grandma who wanted to match-make her grown grand-daughter with a man would send her on errand to the man’s family with a pot of water on her head filled to the brim so that water would pour on her body revealing her body figure/ shape to the intended man. This among others, was a dubious practice secretly perfected between two old women (childhood friends) who wanted to be in-laws.
